The following are the current energy training opportunities available through LAS:
Energy Efficient Building Operations 101
These customizable sessions put you in the driver seat by allowing you to choose the technical content and timeframe appropriate for your facilities & operators. The workshop is designed to provide flexible, on-site technical training specific to a broad range of municipal facilities that will be both cost effective and time efficient. Operations 101 workshops are eligible for incentives through the IESO valued at 50% of the course cost up to a maximum of $300/person/day..
Employee Engagement Workshop
Employee engagement alone can achieve 3-5% energy savings and is crucial to maintaining the savings related to most equipment and technology upgrades.
Our customizable Employee Engagement Workshop provides an end to end solution. We provide a Facility Scan, Staff Awareness Survey, workshop time covering Energy 101, Understanding Your Bill, Ways to Save at Work & Home, and finally a Follow-Up Survey.
LAS will work with key municipal staff to develop an Employee Engagement and Energy Awareness Program which can be delivered by your staff.
We will empower these staff "trainers" with tools and resources to implement a program aligned with your municipal objectives and that will provide persistent energy savings through behaviour change.
In-House Dollars to $ense (D2$) Municipal Workshops
In 2016, Natural Resources Canada revised the D2$ training content now comprising 30 customizable modules. This training is now available to municipalities through the Canadian Institute for Energy Training in partnership with TdS Dixon Inc.
LAS and TdS Dixon Inc. can create a unique D2$ solution for your municipality. The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) recently announced new incentives to support D2$ workshops in 2017, making this training very cost effective!
