LAS Electricity Program Pricing Details for 2019

LAS recently completed a tendered purchase for the 2019 Electricity Program hedge that includes 133 enrolled municipalities.  The term of the purchase is from January 1 to December 31, 2019, which coincides with the conclusion of the 2018 program year.
 
Effective January 1, 2019, the LAS program hedge cost will be $24.00/MW (2.4¢/kWh), including fees.  See the chart below for the expected total commodity calculation.

The Basics of the LAS Electricity Program

On Thursday November 8th, LAS hosted a webinar titled the Basics of the LAS Electricity Program.  LAS’ Program Manager welcomed Cynthia Wang, Senior Energy Manager, Electricity from Edison Energy who provided participants with an overview of the Electricity market. Topics discussed include electricity rates, the global adjustment, distinctions between facility accounts as well as an overview of the LAS Electricity Program.

Electric Trucks - 2018 Update

In February of this year we published an overview of the electric (EV) pickup truck market. Less than a year later, enough has changed to warrant another blog post for an update. Unless otherwise stated, it’s safe to assume all trucks being brought to the market will have four wheel drive options and the ability to supply power for jobsite or other ‘off grid’ use.
